Mandatory Chaperone/Team Adult Advisor Meetings
A minimum of one (1) chaperone for each team must attend one (1) of the following meetings and pass the information along to the other chaperone. If both chaperones want to attend a meeting; this is encouraged and it is recommended that one or both participate in the teleconference meeting by phone so that one Chaperone can remain with the youth, at all times, while onsite.
What is the difference between a Team Adult Advisor and a Chaperone (both are considered Chaperones)?
The Team Adult Advisors and Chaperone(s) must be with youth at all times. (This is unlike the Prevention Summit in which Chaperones may attend Adult Track workshops.) The main difference between a Chaperone and Team Adult Advisor for the Spring Youth Forum is that the Team Adult Advisor is the main contact for the team and the person with which the Spring Youth Forum committee will communicate. The Team Adult Advisor must share any information pertinent communicated from the committee (i.e. travel, team acceptance, presentation instructions, etc) with the chaperone(s) and youth. The Team Adult Advisor’s email address listed on the Team Scholarship Application, it is the email that all general communications will be sent.
